What is Minimally Invasive Surgery?
Minimally invasive surgery is the performance of surgery through a technique that is specially designed to have a smaller entrance into the body. Less tissue disturbance usually relates to less pain and blood loss, smaller scar and, most importantly, a quicker recovery. Dr. Katzman devotes his practice to maximally advanced technology toward minimally invasive surgery. Arthroscopy and laparoscopy are forms of minimally invasive surgery.

Newer types of minimally invasive surgery are now available at selected sites throughout the world. Dr. Katzman has focused his practice to developing and improving techniques for minimally invasive joint and spine surgery. In some of these techniques, he is the leader promulgating new techniques and ideas.
